Terms of Use
Edit as much as you like, but don't remove any credits present. They are the small © symbols. Leave them alone. You may change the color to match your custom palette for your carrd but do not make them invisible or hard to see.
Don't claim as your own work OR use this template as a base for a different template OR use it for any commissions, paid or not. If you use this template, I don't care how much you edit it, go wild, but the credit has to stay intact and you cannot claim it as your own.
Do not use to promote illegal, harmful, or hateful content. No burn books, no hate blogs, no callout blogs, nothing of the sort.
Image Sizing
The banner on the front page is most suited for images at a 3:1 or 2:1 ratio depending on personal preference. It should be at least 1000px wide for best results. (The one that comes with the template is 2000px wide.)
The tall image in the bio section is at a 9:16 ratio. It will also resize based on width. If you make the bio longer, you may want a taller image, or to add another column to the container so it does not outgrow the image too much and make the spacing look weird. The image here will work best with the current spacing if it is at least 450px wide or greater.
If you need help with image sizing, or re-sizing anything / fixing spacing, you're more than welcome to shoot me a message on my blog and I'll try to help when I can.
How to Add More NPCs
The NPCs on the connections page are divided into rows of three. There is a new container for every row to prevent uneven spacing. To add more, you need to duplicate the container as a new one instead of adding to the same one, keeping only to a row of three per container.
Make a copy of the image and description sections and move them into place. There should only be two things to copy per new NPC.
If a row has an empty space with no NPC, click on the container, select the column that is empty (left, middle, or right) and check the box that says "use as spacer". If you have two NPCs in a row instead of three and want them to center, delete the empty column and the other two will adjust automatically. If you need to re-add the column later when adding another NPC, just click "add column" and the sizes should also automatically adjust in that case as well.

001 A gift from his lover, he wears a purple crystal around his neck, whether it's visible on his model or not. 002 Those who can sense aether or other magical things would notice that Ignis has a substantial aether pool for someone who claims to not use or barely use it. Before his lover's return, he never used it. Now, he's begun to learn how to use it -- in a rather unique way, all things considered, but certainly a way that seems very him. 003 There is a lot of light damage around his eyes -- despite the fact that his physical eyes are healed now, he still bears the aetheric scars from when he lost his sight. This can manifest in speckles of light coming off of his skin, scattered in spots over his body as well. 004 Those who are capable of seeing souls would notice that while Ignis' soul was a bit tattered and repaired, it wasn't...well. A singular soul, with others mingled in.
005 In addition to the above, were they from before the Sundering, those who can see souls can likely recognize his as something familiar...but just off. Not quite right. 006 Regarding how it is that Ignis was able to come to Eorzea in the first place: There is, in fact, a storyline in both XIV and XV about just this, except it was a Miqo'te woman who'd come through from Eorzea to Eos. In XIV this is a limited time event but in XV this event never officially ended, unlike other events. Thus, my headcanon is that said teleportation device was in fact still usable, even years later. 007 Keep in mind, that I work on the multiverse theory, both in and out of character. We are aware there are multiples of some people present, each from slightly different timelines and all. Thus, never claim to be the only person of x thing (easiest example is going to be Convocation Seats -- especially the seat of Azem). Nothing says anyone has to interact with anyone else, it's simply easiest to acknowledge this and carry on from there.
Connections
HADES SCIENTIA — Ignis' husband and bonded partner. Holding the seat of Emet-Selch, this is the man Ignis will always stand behind and beside, serving as his assistant when need arises. He will do anything for this man, will always do anything for this man, whatever it takes to keep him safe and well and happy.
URIANGER AUGURELT (Bynomeans Dubious) — Ignis' and Urianger's romantic partner, he's not as close to the Elezen as he'd like to be just yet, but this man holds a solid place in his heart despite some shaky beginnings. He will defend and help this man far more than anyone else save Hades, which given his own psuedo-hero complex...says something.
THEMIS ARCADIA — Coworker of his husband, Ignis and Themis are vaguely aware of one another. Ignis will do whatever is needed to support Themis without risking his own life or that of his partners. There's more there than he really knows about, more than he cares to know, but he's not likely to toss this man aside willy nilly.
HYTHLODAEUS AVALON — Close friend to Hades, Ignis doesn't feel quite as close to him as his husband does, but this is another man he'd do just about anything for. Very friendly, there's still something...different about this man. Ignis will figure it out one of these days. Maybe.
Ignis Scientia
Coming to the Source, Ignis found himself in the Shroud, somewhere he knew little and less about, instead having to fumble in the darkness until he found his way to Gridania itself. The sounds, the smells, it was so different and yet still the same, the hustle and bustle of people around, something good, something normal without the sounds of heavy construction trying to repair his childhood home.(Not that it would ever be home again, not for him, not really, for all that he called it that and would for years to come.)He found his way to the adventurer's guild, learning the lay of the land, of the world, before learning of a place that seemed to be...lacking people with his particular skillset, leaving the cooler, more fragrant lands of the Shroud and moving to Thanalan, to Ul'Dah, where everything was dry and hot, and greed....greed was everywhere, leaving him able to make coin, but....Was it worth it?It certainly seemed like it was a good fit once he met the mysterious man whom would later become his partner, Solus -- a true meshing of minds, of souls, two almost completely different individuals becoming a cohesive whole -- an aura of sheer darkness surrounding him, almost enough to suck the light away from others around him. Though their initial meeting was...fierce, with Ignis finding himself overpowered and taken, they kept meeting. Over, and over, and over again, a strange relationship forming between the two, movements growing easier and conversation flowing with each meeting until one day......Solus vanished.At first, it didn't seem too bad. It wasn't as if he had never vanished for a time before returning, but then it stretched out longer and longer and longer, until Ignis felt almost sure that something was wrong, very wrong, but as he was, he couldn't do nearly as much looking as he would have liked.Just as he had began considering a course of action, he...well. He began having some odd dreams. Dreams of a man he'd never seen, but had that familiar voice, and it felt...Real.And in the underground, there was mention of a potion, a concoction that would restore a man's sight, among other things. Thus, desperate, he sought it out, needing to take some sort of action.
When he awoke...things were different. He could see, yes, but there was more to it than that. His center of gravity had shifted, he was shorter and thinner than he had been, tail and ears shifting atop his head from the side of his head, and his face was smoothed out, scarring now gone. He had to practice fighting once more, to learn how to do things all over again, waiting to hear back from his lover.Once he'd done that, however, there was no word about anyone matching what he knew of his lover's appearance, leaving him to once again drown himself in his work, trying not to let the nagging feeling in his chest distress him further. Thus, he found himself working alongside the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, though he certainly wasn't anything big or important or anything of the sort. But they were shorthanded, and they didn't have people who could explore and gather information from within Garlemald, and thus he did what was necessary, even as flames began to fall from the skies, as people panicked, and dread only seemed to grow within.
Ignis never considered himself a hero. Not in Eos, not in Eorzea, not anywhere. He did what needed to be done, worked towards his own goal and as the "Final Days" kicked in, he had to keep a very, very tight leash on his own emotions, his own fears. He was going to get his lover back -- no matter what he called himself -- which meant he needed to remain alive.But given how his own connections or lack thereof, he knew there were those who were being evacuated. There were rumors about there being a plan for people to go to the moon -- (which really, he expected that from Eos, not Eorzea) -- but there was no way that everyone would make it there, therefore he focused on trying to keep people safe from the horrible creatures fear had created.And suddenly...the world seemed to right itself. Things were clear and clean and people were no longer quite so afraid, but Ignis hadn't the foggiest clue as to what happened. But seeing others around him cheering, he felt...empty. Like something was missing.Which, in a way, it had been. It wasn't long after that, when at last...a familiar visage made itself known."Hades."
Things were...different, after his lover returned. There was still a confidence about him, but also...hesitation. Concern. Which, all things considered, wasn't exactly unexpected. Things were much different now, the entire dynamic they had functioned on was out the window, at least so it seemed.After all -- Ignis could see now. Not only could he see, but he could tell exactly what expression was on a face -- on his face -- and while he was hardly the worst off when he couldn't see...Well, things were different now. While he certainly had the feeling that he'd never been lied to, and thus it shouldn't make that much of a difference, it...did.And yet they didn't dance around each other, instead seeming to come together in a way that hadn't fully clicked together until now, when everything was now on the table.Before, their coupling had been mostly a matter of convenience, no expectations from either side. Now...Well, it was hardly a surprise when they bonded only months after Solus' Hades' return, the two now fully intertwined with one another, down to their very souls, magics performed immediately after that addled Ignis' memory, missing parts of the months leading up to the bonding, but ultimately making it so that while he wasn't exactly like his lover...he was much more durable. His soul was patched and reinforced with those that had been keeping close by since he'd left Eos, the process bleaching his hair and leaving it a hint of purple with silver predominant, and his arm now likewise a marbled purple...

IMPORTANT NOTES
Ignis' specific variety of aethersight is something between aethersight and soulsight. He can see some of any given person's soul in how it manifests in their aether. Given enough time and exposure, he can tell a person simply from their aether alone.
When one sense is lost, others are heightened. This happened to the extreme with Ignis, who already had heightened senses of taste and smell before he'd gone blind. Now that his vision has returned, those senses stay with him. He has to actively work to not be overwhelmed by the sensory hell of all the things at once.
